Although we’re best known for our work with Land Rover Defenders, not every project that comes through the door is a Defender — and that’s part of what makes the job enjoyable. Recently, a mate needed something a bit different for his Isuzu D-Max, and we were happy to help get it set up properly.

After talking through what he wanted from the truck, we settled on a set of Alpha Off-Road Combat wheels in bronze, paired with BFGoodrich KO3 tyres. The combination suits the D-Max perfectly. The bronze finish adds character without being over the top, while the KO3s give the truck a tougher, more purposeful stance that works just as well on the road as it does off it.

The change isn’t just visual. The right wheel and tyre package can completely alter how a vehicle sits, how it feels to drive, and how confident it is across different terrain. Getting the fitment right is key, and when everything comes together, the result speaks for itself.

This build is a good reminder that while Defenders are very much our speciality, the same attention to detail and product knowledge applies to other capable vehicles too. With the right setup, you can bring out the best in almost any 4x4 or pickup.

We reckon this D-Max now looks spot on — proof that a well-chosen wheel and tyre package can transform more than just Defenders.
